OUR VENUE

Designed by leading architectural firm TV3, our trim, modern venue is a wonderfully neutral palette of raw surfaces and organic design. Bathed in warm, natural light, our interior is insulated by a water-wise, rooftop garden. With a 270-degree view of the Stellenbosch mountains, inside-out entertaining is a must.

If you allow for a dance floor, the indoor area can seat up to 160 guests at beautiful, rectangular, oak tables that require no linens. Ceiling-to-floor windows and glass sliding doors on three sides allow guests to take in the majestic landscape.

 

The indoor area opens onto a wooden deck that is perfect for cocktails. We include outdoor furniture like benches, ottomans, coffee and cocktail tables, and umbrellas in our venue hire.

 

The deck leads onto a beautiful lawn that, weather permitting of course, is wonderful for a small ceremony, pre-reception drinks or food stations.

 

Our silver-plated cutlery, white crockery and stemware are modern and elegant, and the perfect complement to the venue.

OUR STAFF

Warm, but professional, our onsite team is here to make sure you and your guests feel welcome, and your needs anticipated and attended to.

 

Our service includes the presence of our venue manager from set-up till the last guest leaves. We also include two porters, two set-up staff and two parking marshals in our venue fee.

 

We outsource professional waitstaff and barmen. Please enquire for costing.

 

While we do not provide full in-house coordination services, we'd be delighted to introduce you to exceptional service providers who can help you craft the perfect look and feel on your special day.

OUR FOOD

Two Chefs is the dynamic team who whip up the most delectable menus to make any foodie's mouth water. Our chefs cook from the heart, using ingredients that are seasonal, local and sustainably sourced.

 

From fine dining to rustic, from canapés to braai stations, you'll be amazed at the options. If you have something special you'd like on the menu, our chefs are flexible and happy to accommodate. And, if you'd like a particularly joyful approach, we're well known for our buffet-to-table style of service where we place a selection of dishes on each table for guests to share and enjoy.

 

Should you require kosher or halaal catering, we can introduce you to one of our preferred suppliers who is familiar with our kitchen. The hire of our kitchen is at an additional cost.

OUR BAR & BEVERAGES

Whether it's the best South African craft beer or a local wine, eye-catching cocktails or effervescent champagne, our beverage menu has everything you need to party!

 

We are fully licensed and manage our own bar, and can offer you the choice of either an open or cash bar. Bar set-up costs include the services of a barman, all your ice, and any additional glassware and wine coolers. We do charge a corkage fee if you prefer to serve wine not on our wine list.

 

We understand that bar and beverage services can feel downright unruly, so our capable team will gladly help you estimate the bar costs so that you can plan accordingly.

Frequently asked questions

Where is Landtscap situated?

Landtscap is perched on a gentle rise amidst vineyards in Devonvale, outside Stellenbosch in the Western Cape. You’ll pass the Devonvale Golf Estate to get to us. (Don’t confuse Devonvale with Devonvalley!)

Does Landtscap operate as a restaurant?

Landtscap is exclusively a venue for weddings, events and conferences.

Does Landtscap offer accommodation?

Landtscap does not offer accommodation at this time. We do, however, have a list of accommodation within 10 minutes of the venue. Please enquire for this list.

Do you have a changing room for brides?

No, we don’t. We suggest brides get ready off-site.

Does Landtscap allow for external catering?

No, we do not allow for outsourced caterers because we are fussy about our beautiful kitchen! The only exception is for events that are strictly halaal or kosher, in which case a kitchen hire fee applies. Please ask after our list of preferred suppliers.

Until what time can we use the venue?

The venue hire allows you to make use of the venue until 00:00 AM. Should you wish to stay until 02:00 AM, you are most welcome to do so. Because of liquor license regulations, the bar will close at 01:00AM. Please enquire for venue and staff overtime costs.

Is Landtscap child friendly? And what about wheelchair access?

Children are welcome! However, we do not provide a baby sitter or offer entertainment for the children. Please enquire for the kiddies menu. And yes, our venue is wheelchair accessible.

Can we bring in our own wines?

Yes, you are most welcome to do so. We do have a corkage fee per bottle.

What time can my suppliers come and set up on the day of the event?

The venue will be open from 09h00 for setup. Please confirm with the Landtscap team.

What if it rains?

Don’t worry, the Landtscap team will always discuss “Plan B” with you, which will consider your setup, the type of event and the number of guests for your event.

Does the Landtscap team help with setup?

Yes, we do the basic setup of moving our furniture into place, and laying the crockery, cutlery and glassware. The setup of outsourced furniture needs to be arranged with the suppliers.

Does Landtscap’s venue hire include chairs for the ceremony if we wish to have that outdoors?

No, the chairs supplied by Landtscap are only for use in the indoor reception area. Please enquire for an outdoor chair supplier.
